William Lian, MD is board certified in PM&R (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) and fellowship-trained in interventional pain management. He chose to become a PM&R physician because he truly enjoys helping patients to improve their function and quality of life.

Dr. Lian attended Texas A&M University, Commerce for his undergraduate degree. He completed his medical degree and PM&R residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He completed additional fellowship training in Interventional Pain Management at Desert Spine and Sports Physicians in Phoenix, Arizona. He was awarded the Kowalske Outstanding Medical Student in PM&R Award and the Highest UTSW PM&R Resident SAE Score Award.

Dr. Lian is an expert in the evaluation and conservative management of spinal, musculoskeletal, and neuropathic (nerve-related) diagnoses. Dr. Lian and the whole West Texas Pain Institute team is focused on finding the most appropriate, evidence-based, non-surgical treatment for each patient.

When not treating patients, Dr. Lian enjoys working out, photography, and hiking with his wife, Sarah.
